TRONSCAN is the official and first blockchain explorer for the TRON network. It acts as a comprehensive portal that provides real-time data on all on-chain activities, serving as the "eye" of the TRON ecosystem for users, traders, and developers.
What is TRONSCAN?
TRONSCAN is the official and first blockchain explorer for the TRON network. Because a blockchain is essentially a public ledger that everyone can see but nobody can change, TRONSCAN takes all that complex, raw data (hexadecimal numbers and code) and translates it into a human-readable website.
It serves four main groups:
Casual Users: To check their wallet balances and track sent/received funds.
Traders: To verify the legitimacy of new tokens (TRC-10 or TRC-20) and see who is holding them.
Developers: To deploy smart contracts and check the "health" of the network, such as transaction speeds and fees.
Voters: To participate in the network’s democratic process by voting for "Super Representatives".
How to Use TRONSCAN (The "Working" Part)
Working with TRONSCAN doesn't require a degree in computer science. Here is how you can use its most popular features:
1. Tracking a Transaction
The most common use is checking a transaction status.
Get the Hash: When you send crypto, the app you use will give you a "Transaction ID" (TXID) or hash—a long string of random letters and numbers.
Search: Paste that hash into the search bar at the top of the TRONSCAN homepage.
Read the Result: It will show you a green "SUCCESS" or a red "FAILED" status. You can also see the exact time, the sender's address, the receiver's address, and the fee paid.
2. Checking a Wallet's History
If you want to see everything a specific wallet has ever done, just paste the Wallet Address into the search bar.
You will see the total balance of TRX and every other token (like USDT or USDC) held in that wallet.
It also shows a "Portfolio" view, calculating the current market value of all those assets in USD.
3. Staking and Governance
TRON uses a system where you can "lock up" your TRX to help secure the network and earn rewards.
Connect Wallet: Click "Connect Wallet" at the top right (usually via TronLink or a Ledger device).
Stake: You can freeze your TRX to earn "Tron Power" and "Energy/Bandwidth" (which makes future transactions cheaper).
Vote: Use your Tron Power to vote for Super Representatives in the Governance section, which often earns you a small percentage of rewards back.
4. Avoiding Scams with Token Tracker
One of TRONSCAN's best "human" features is its reputation system. In the Token Tracker section, TRONSCAN identifies tokens as "OK," "Suspicious," or "Unsafe". If someone sends you a random token you’ve never heard of, you can look it up here to see if the community has flagged it as a scam.
Why Does It Matter?
Without TRONSCAN, the TRON network would be a "black box" where you’d have to trust your exchange or app to tell the truth. TRONSCAN provides transparency. It’s the tool that proves your transaction was sent, confirms how much was charged in fees, and allows you to participate in the growth of the ecosystem.
